Minister Muhwezi rallies Christians to embrace government programs.

Rukungiri – The minister of Security who doubles as the Rujumbura county member of Parliament Rtd Maj.Gen. Jim K Muhwezi has asked Christians of St.Pauls Kasoroza church of Uganda in Nyakagyeme sub-County to embrace and join government programs aiming at chasing poverty at household levels.

While attending Easter prayers at his home church, Minister Muhwezi said that the government of Uganda has introduced very many programs that roots at ending poverty that has left many Ugandans struggling to raise the 3 meals of the day.

“The government of Uganda has introduced PDM. Under this program every parish is given shs.100 M and every family is also given shs.1 M. So go and look for this money because it is there waiting for you”. Minister Muhwezi said.

The minister also used the same platform and asked to parents  to inform their children about the dangers of high alcohol consumption.

“Excessive consumption of alcohol among the youth is very dangerous on their health . So as parents your role is to let them know how dangerous is alcohol”. Minister Muhwezi said.

While Preaching during Easter prayers, the Archdeacon of Nyakagyeme Archdeaconary, Ven.Ronald  Natuhwera asked christians to use this Easter season to renew their relationship with their God.

“It is during this season that we celebrate the death of our savior Jesus Christ so let His death renew your relationship with his Father who is God.” Ven Natuhwera said.

He also asked men to always work hand in hand with their dear wives in supporting the development of the church saying that most men no longer support church activities.
