Rukungiri- The Rukungiri district Muslim Khadi Sheikh Abdulmalik Byaruhanga Kayole has urged Muslim community in Uganda to uphold Islamic values as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In his Eid message to the Muslim community during Eid al-Fitr prayers at Rukungiri district main mosque in southern division Rukungiri Sheikh Byaruhanga congratulated believers upon successfully completing the fasting period.‘’
” During the holy month of Ramadan, we were supporting the needy, forgiving one another, sharing with our neighbors, wishing peace to our fellows, praying among other acts of charity. It is from this point that I am asking my fellow Muslims to uphold and maintain such acts because they are Godly and Allah will bless us more .’’ Sheikh Byaruhanga told Muslims.

He also urged them to maintain what they learned during the holy month and apply in their daily life.
‘’ The valves and discipline which you learned during Ramadan should continue guiding now and forever because I know that you learned a lot and what you learned should stop with the end of this holy month ‘’. Sheikh Byaruhanga added.
The District Khadi Sheikh Byaruhanga used the same platform and asked Muslim to invest a lot in the education of their children.
‘’ Please educate your children because education is the only key that unlocks the problems of this world. Remember a learned community develops at a very high speed. Therefore educate your children for a better and transformed community ’’. Sheikh Byaruhanga said.
Sheikh Abdul Hamed Mulawa of Kawempa mosque in Kampala who led the Eid al-Fitr prayers asked Muslims to co-operate and work together for the development of their families.
‘’Allah likes people who work together and one thing which should be known is that cooperation is the way to go because People who work together develop together. I therefore encourage you to focus more on togetherness and oneness’’. Sheikh Mulawa said.
He also asked them to desist from acts of wishing bad to fellows saying that such acts are ungodly.
” Lets wish God to our fellow if you want to develop, if you Good to them , they will also wish you well but you wish them bad, believe me they will do the same to you so let’s wish good to one another and in doing so , am sure our families, communities and our country Uganda will develop ’’ he said.

Ms Mark Saulit Hadijah, a Muslim said the holy month of Ramadan encouraged fellow Muslim to always fast, repent to Allah during the holy month.
‘’ Fasting in Islamic faith means abstaining from eats, drinks and having sex during the holy month because during this time we are praying to Allah to pour His blessings upon us and grant us His favor in everything that we do. So I encourage my fellow Muslims to always fast’’.
Ms Hadijah said.Ms Shamim Hadjati another Muslim member described the holy month of Ramadan as the time of doing Godly things only.
‘’ The holy month of Ramadan encourages us as Muslims to behave well, give to those without among other Allah’s teachings ’’. She said,
