Rukiga: Uganda’s FUFA president Hon. Eng. Moses Magogo yesterday 19th.April 2025 blessed and honored the grand finals of Dr. Sylvia’s 2025 tournament finals which were played at Rwamucucu playground in Rwamucucu Sub- county, Rukiga District.
Speaking to Dr Sylvia’s supporter, Eng Magogo asked parents to nurture their children’s talent emphasizing the transformative power of talent in shaping successful and influential individuals.
The tournament was organized by Dr. Sylvia Alinaitwe, the aspirant woman member of Parliament for Rukiga district.
The tournament saw over 60 teams from all parishes of Rukiga district and it aims at identifying and promoting football talent among the youth in the district.
Speaking to her supporters , Dr Sylvia affirmed her commitment to youth empowerment through sports and promised to continue organizing this tournament annually.
Dr Sylvia added that this tournament is not only competition but a platform of identifying talent and bring youth from Rukiga district together
The tournament was for both boys and Girls and the boys cup was taken Sindi Wardafter defeating defending champions Nyakagabagaba with 1:0.
While the girls’ cup taken by Rukiga North after defeating Rukiga south on penalties after goalless 90 minutes.
