Rukungiri – The minister of Security who doubles as the Rujumbura county member of Parliament yesterday donated household items to Boda boda groups in Bwambara Sub- county.
The donated items were washing basins , plastic chairs among others and they were delivered on his behalf by Moses Rwakacaka, the chairperson of Boona Bagigahare Nyekundire Group Rukungiri district.
While delivering these items at a function that took place in Bwambara trading center yesterday Mr Rwakacaka who represented Minister Muhwezi asked the beneficiaries to use the donated items and improve the sanitary conditions of their homes saying that the donated items are not for sale.
” These items are yours. So protect them and use them in families. In short they are not for sell”. MR Rwakacaka said.
He also called for co- operation among the boda boda raiders of Bwambara sub- county saying that co- operation is the only thing that will help them benefit alot from their leaders and the government in general.
Mr Rwakacaka used the same platform and asked Bwambara people to vote wisely and to go for leaders whose names are well known globally.
Some of the beneficiaries hailed the minister of Security Rtd Maj.Gen.Jim K Muhwezi for supporting them with household items promising to use the donated items for the development of their families.
They also promised to vote him whole heartedly.
