On October 6, 2023, Registrar High Court, HW Rosemary Bareebe, urged 134 newly enrolled advocates to adopt Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to stay updated with the latest legal trends. She conveyed this message during the enrollment ceremony at the Judiciary Headquarters in Kampala, on behalf of the Chief Registrar.

During her address, HW Bareebe emphasized the importance of professionalism, ethics, and excellence in their work. She also reminded the new advocates of their responsibilities to themselves, the court, and the public.

Counsel Isaac Kyagaba, representing the President of the Uganda Law Society, encouraged the new advocates to make ethics, professionalism, and integrity their guiding principles in their legal journey. He urged them to strive for excellence, seek continuous knowledge, and remain committed to justice.

Ms. Peace Athocon, the representative of the Law Council, called for a focus on service above self, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

The session was moderated by HW Timothy Lumunye, the Personal Assistant to the Chief Registrar.
