
The National Medical Stores (NMS) has set out on a countrywide distribution of COVID-19 vaccines meant to guard the population against the lethal infection.
Sheila Nduhukire, the NMS spokesperson said trucks stacked with Vaccines have this Monday been dispatched to Kampala, Wakiso just as Karamoja and Acholi-Lango sub-districts.

Different trucks have additionally been sent to the West Nile, Eastern and Western Uganda.
“We would like to assure all Ugandans that all districts shall receive COVID-19 vaccines. Our role as NMS is to deliver these vaccines to district headquarters,” Nduhukire said.
From that point, the district inconsultation with the ministry of health will determine how the immunizations will be carried out to the distinctive inoculation habitats and divisions.
Over a week ago, Uganda got a sum of 586,080 Vaccines
Of these, 286,000 were dosages of the AstraZeneca antibody gave by the Norwegian government, and 300,000 portions of the Sinovac immunization gave by China.
In any case, the health ministry said the need for the AstraZeneca antibody will be given to those that are eligible for their second jab.
