The Democratic Governance Facility (DGF) has separated itself from a tweet that showed up on its web-based media page on the side of National Unity Platform party exercises.
DGF says the tweet was crafted by programmers.
‘The DGF has noticed that an obscure individual retweeted content on its Twitter: @DGFUganda17, ascribed to Hon. Francis Zaake. This retweet has NOT been finished by the DGF and has, accordingly, been taken out from the DGF Twitter Account,’ DGF said on Sunday.
‘The hacking of the record is being examined.’
The DGF clarified that its activities are at present under suspension by the Government of Uganda.
Also, accordingly, its web-based media pages, including the Twitter account, through which the message was handed-off, ‘will stay idle until tasks have continued.’
New Vision was incapable to get to the said tweet or its substance by press time.
DGF is a multi-contributor office supported by the administrations of Austria, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the European Union.
As indicated by its site profile, DGF was set up in July 2011 as an administration program proposed to ‘give orchestrated, intelligent and very much planned help to state and non-state substances to fortify democratization, ensure common liberties’.
It says its goal is likewise to ‘improve’ admittance to equity and upgrade responsibility in Uganda in a bid to accomplish an ‘impartial development, destitution annihilation, law and order and long haul strength in Uganda’.

A portion of the beneficiaries of DGF support included non-administrative associations, CSOs and government offices like Parliament and the Judiciary.
