The electricity company announced a power outage on their official Twitter handle, urging residents to plan their day accordingly.
The affected areas include; Nalukolongo Korica, Roadmaster Cycles, Nsogido Films, Golden Multipurpose Factory, Ntake Bakery, Virat Alloys. Uganda Railways Workshop.
“The outage in the above areas is due to a technical fault on the power line. We regret the inconveniences caused,” UMEME said.
Parts currently without power due to rotten poles, that need a replacement include Parts of Kikubamutwe, Kampala International University, Centenary Bank, Diplomat, Kansanga Town Council, Nabutiti, Sebuliba Zone, Kiwafu Estate, Kitalanga.
UMEME is also rectifying technical faults along power lines in Kabale Town, Kinoni, Nyamukana, Nyeihanga, Buteraniro, Itoojo, Ntungamo town, Kyamate, Towns along Rukungiri road, Muhanga and Katuna.
