MBARARA – Two unidentified thieves have been shot dead in Mbarara City.
According to Byamukama Clement, one of the police officers attached to Mbarara Central Police Station, the incident happened on July 8, 2021 at around 11pm, at Agaba Services, which is a fuel station and a beer depot, located at Kirehe cell ,Ruti trading centre along Mbarara- Kabale road.
Byamukama says thieves, who had no identification, went to steal crates of beer from a truck registration number UAV 203T loaded with beer, but as they were stealing the crates, one of the security guards identified as Mugume Lauben 40, attached to Agri lndustrial security company, a resident of kirehe cell ,Nyamitanga Division,Mbarara city shot two of them dead on spot.
Rwizi regional police spokesperson, Samson Kasasira told Kazo FM that the Homicide team and soco visited the scene and took two dead bodies to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
