I was raised in kaliro but due to school. I spent most of my time in central uganda as I attended Gayaza Junior School for primary, then I proceeded to St. Josephs Senior Secondary School Nagalama for my O level. I then completed my A level in Mt St Mary’s College Namagunga where I got my UACE certificate that enabled me join Makerere university.

#3. Your Tribe and Clain?

Walusimbi Doris Praise is a proud Musoga of the Bantu tribe, Shes from Bayangu Clain. Totem; mpoongo, Chiefdom: Bulamogi.

#4. For how long have you been in Central Uganda and What have you learned there?

I spent most of my time in central uganda. During my stay in central Uganda. I spent most of my time with several of my relatives who helped me expand my boundaries (to be clear my social boundaries.)  As kids, we were brought up by religious and down to earth parents who not only feared God but also encouraged and supported us to know and dwell more in Him. .

#5. What are the contributions of you parents towards who you are today?

As kids, we were brought up by religious and down to earth parents who not only feared God but also encouraged and supported us to know and dwell more in Him. This kind of nurturing has lived with me and I can hold it responsible to my calm and modest nature. God has a profound place in my heart and I believe that he is the reason to all I do.

Speaking of my passion for pageants. Even as a little girl, I’ve always wanted to put myself out there, show people my worth,  share my experiences and promote my interests. To me pageants don’t really call for looks and body shape no! they call for talent, ability, confidence, fathomless courage and all the sort of things any “beautiful” ladies out there believe makes them out standing. Yes, beauty may be determined by looks and all the stereotypes around but to me  beauty is a symposium of outstanding atrocities, diverse simplicity and reverse phenomenon. That’s why I believe that any lady can make it in this sector and I believe I’ll be able to put this across as miss tourism busoga 2021.

#6. Being a girl, What are the challenges have you been facing?

Being a girl like me is not as easy as it sounds but I glorify God that has kept me going each and every single day of my life. We as ladies face so many challenges but that doesn’t mean we should deem our light. To me, challenges are perceived as stair cases to my throne and that’s why I settle for hard tasks  believed to be done by men, or very smart people and all those other aspects society considers to be extra ordinary.

#7. One or Two words to your voters.

I’m kindly asking for your votes my fellow Ugandans. Let’s not look at where I’m from and just focus on uplifting a voice of a young lady whose only intention is to accord beauty where it’s due. Please go to miss tourism busoga page  on FACEBOOK and  kindly drop a like and a comment on my photos as contestant number nine (9). I love you all and I believe you will not let me down in this struggle.

Iam a very outstanding character who not only respects each and everyone but also minds people’s happiness. The humility in me shines bright each day and so I look forward to sharing my blissful attitude with you all. It may not be physically but we are all United in spirit.

Thank you all I look forward to your warm support.

All the 9 regional winners will battle for the top crown (Miss Tourism Uganda 2021/22) at a glamorous event that will take place at Kampala Serena Hotel on October 1.
