Earlier today, a delegation from Namibia, led by the Deputy-Prime Minister, Hon Dr. Nandi Ndaitwah Netumbo, and accompanied by H.E Hon Godfrey Kirumira, the Uganda-Namibia ambassador, visited the Hamz Stadium at Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds. The purpose of the visit was to explore the remarkable achievements of Hamis Kiggundu in the construction of an advanced world-class stadium in Uganda.
The Namibian leader was deeply impressed by Mr. Kiggundu’s accomplishments and extended an invitation for him to replicate his success in Namibia. Dr. Ndaitwah expressed her admiration for the Nakivubo stadium project and conveyed her satisfaction by inviting the businessman to undertake a similar project in the Southern African nation.
In response, Kiggundu confirmed the invitation through a tweet, stating, “It was such a pleasure hosting Hon Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, the first female Namibian president in waiting…she was so impressed by Nakivubo stadium project and invited me to do the same in Namibia.”
