NRM’s diehard Hajji Abdul Nadduli’s son, Suleiman Jakana Nadduli has reportedly been delivered before the court and indicted with promoting sectarianism according to reports from police.
It should be noted that Jakana has been missing for various weeks after it was revealed that he had been kidnaped by security detectives.
The Police spokesperson Fred Enanga on Monday was inquired to remark about Nadduli’s son’s location, he substantiated he had been apprehended by security and dragged to court.
” He was prosecuted to Luweero court previous week over stimulating sectarianism adverse to section 41 of the Penal Code Act and sent to Butuntumula jail until 13th of September, ” Enanga explained.
Enanga clarified that the remand came after the plea of guilty by Nadduli’s son to the indictments slapped against him in the tribunal.
” He pleaded guilty that it is authentic he was stimulating acts of sectarianism in his information. He will come back to court for convicting on the 13th of September. ” Enanga noted.
However, Enanga didn’t clarify more about the sectarian statements that Nadduli’s son is implicated of have made but informed the public against being prosecuted over related accusations.

Enanga explained further that several Ugandans particularly on social media create statements that provoke hatred and sectarianism.
” We have often advised bloggers and the public that even if you detest somebody, it is good you balance how you wield your liberty of speech and freedoms of other society members. You don’t have the liberty to disrespect, abuse, and induce other the public merely because you don’t love them, ” he noted.
It should be noted that Jakana was defeated in the 2021 general polls where he contested for the Nakaseke Central Member of Parliament seat as an independent aspirant after losing in the NRM primaries to Syda Bbumba, the Minister of Energy.
Jakana has since accused some prime NRM administrators of being behind his defeat, indicting them of favoring other individuals.
Since the elections, Nadduli’s son has castigated the NRM regime and its chairperson, President Yoweri Museveni of moving off the track that delivered NRM into power.
