In Bwambara subcounty, There has been increased school dropouts previously due to different causes like early marriages, child labour and even failure to provide school necessities required for the children.
According to the chairperson of Bwambara subcounty Mr. Chris kagayano he narrates that” Children have continued to drop out from school but this is more promoted by parents.”
He adds that”as the subcounty leaders,we want to fight such issues,we want to force parents to take pupils to school, because you can’t force children when their parents don’t want to”
“We want to get in touch with the teachers In this, and allow children to sit exams and force parents and they pay the school fees, ” he Added.
When we got in touch with the education secretary of Bwambara subcounty Mr. Edward Mahungye.”Some parents fail because they don’t manage but others just fail to take children to school intentionally” he disclosed
And he also added to tell ankoletimes that, some children are big headed too and they don’t want to go for school because they have tried on making some money through Rwenshama fishing site on Lake Edward.
It has been also noticed that children are facing early marriages because parents target for some good money from them.
And others have resorted to fishing around Rwenshama fishing site on the side of Lake Edward. Which has caused all this increase in school dropouts.
