Rukungiri: As part of giving back to the community, Centenary rural development Bank yesterday 27th. April 2025 donated 100 bags of cement to North Kigezi diocese in Rukungiri district.
The donated bags of cement worth UGX 3.5 million were handed over to the Bishop of North Kigezi diocese Rt Rev Onesimus Asiimwe at a function function that took place at the North Kigezi diocese headquarters in western division Rukungiri municipality.

While handing over the donated bags of cement, the Chief Manager for Corporate and SME Banking at Centenary bank, Mr Rashid Musisi Ssemanda said the donation is to support the completion of new Emmanuel Cathedral church at Kinyasano hill.
” Centenary Bank is everyone’s bank and it serves all people irrespective of their tribe, color or political party. So come and be part of our big Centenary family “. Mr Ssemanda said.
Mr Ssemanda added” as Centenary bank we decided to support North Kigezi Diocese because the Bishop and the church have been supporting us in various ways and it is our culture of giving back to those who support us also”.
Mr Brian Kasaija, the new Manager of Centenary Bank Rukungiri Branch pledged bank’ s continued support to North Kigezi Diocese,
” We shall continue supporting diocese’s projects like schools and health facilities through our Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility programs”. Mr Kasaija.
The manager also hailed Bishop Onesmus within the diocese and affirmed the bank’s commitment to working closely with the church.
“This donation is a sign of the growing cooperation between Centenary Bank and North Kigezi Diocese” Mr Kasaija.
Mr Justus Tindigarukayo, the Assistant Manager at Centenary bank Rukungiri branch asked the public to open accounts.

While receiving, the donated bags of cement, the North Kigezi diocesan Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe hailed Centenary bank for the supporting the completion of the new Emmanuel Cathedral church.
