Rukungiri – The deputy speaker of the 11th Parliament Rt.Hon. Thomas Tayebwa yesterday lauded the church of Uganda for supplementing government wealth creation programs.
In his speech that was read on his behalf by the Rukungiri district woman member of Parliament Ms Midius Kaharata during the thanks giving ceremony of Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe of North Kigezi diocese, the deputy speaker Tayebwa hailed Bishop Onesimus for such a vision that has fostered development of the diocese and the entire Nation at large.
He also hailed the church of Uganda for establishing schools that have greatly supported the government in extending near educational services to Ugandans.
The North Kigezi diocesan Bishop Rt Rev Onesimus Asiimwe also hailed the government for supporting church activities and for creating a peaceful environment for preaching the word of God countrywide.
He also used the events’s platform and hailed Dr Kizza Besigye for supporting church activities asking the whole country to pray for him and be released from jail.

The thanks giving ceremony was organized with an intension of raising funds for the completion of the new cathedral church . Bishop Onesimus said.
