Sheema district RDC Frank Besigye Kyereere, CAO Dembe Davis Beyeza plus Kitagata Sub county political leaders are hunting the sub county accountant and former Chief on allegations of emblezzling government funds worth 7M.
Kabangira Lawrence the Sub county accountant and Moses Mucunguzi who is currently Kasaana Sub county Chief after being transferred from Kitagata Sub county recently are on run after the district team led by RDC Kyereere are hunting them like wolves on allegations that they emblezzled DDG government funds and left the Sub county bank account to zero balance a thing that angered RDC and vowed to arrest and hand them over to police as he sits with the CAO to write to service commission for an action to be taken.
RDC Kyereere said that this wasn’t the first time for the two to emblezzle public funds saying that they should be heavily punished just to teach them a lesson
“Out of 35M that was released by the government,these two people emblezzled almost 70% ,in june they gave accountability that they bought 30 iron sheets yet in the real sense, they bought only 6 fake iron sheets, plus other items, when we counted them,we found out that they had emblezzled 8M, they agreed and paid them back, now this time, they are gave us accountability that they gave chairperson LC 3 140000 yet they have never, that they bought a temperature gun at 300000 yet it is bought at 50000, that a litre of sanitizer was bought at 200000 instead of normal price, 1,000,000 for fuel was also emblezzling, and others, when we forgave them last time, they thought that they are un touchables, now let me show them law” RDC Frank Besigye Kyereere
Simplex Byaruhanga Kitagata Sub county chairperson said that they have been asking the accountant and Chief to withdraw money from bank and they refuse, that there is no way the Sub county could access money without the chief until when the CAO helped them and he transferred Moses to Kasaana Sub county, and that when the new Chief checked on the bank account, they found money less than 100000 Shs.
She wants the two at least give them only 3M and they buy iroonsheets for the building.
