A total of 364 prisons officers who have successfully completed training will on Tuesday be passed out at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
President Yoweri Museveni, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, is expected to preside over the pass out ceremony.

According to a notice from the Uganda Prisons Service, 97 of these will pass out as cadet Assistant Superintendents of Prisons, while 267 are non-commissioned officers.
“The officers have been undergoing training at the prisons academy and training school,” the statement from the Uganda Prisons Service said.
This comes at a time when the Uganda Prisons Service announced another recruitment of warders and wardresses following an advertisement that ran in the media in August 2020.
A total of 2,066 applicants were selected countrywide and the trainees were asked to report to the Commandant Prisons Academy and Training School in Luzira between April 5 and 11, this year.
Subsequently, interviews were conducted at the Prisons regional headquarters at Luzira between February 8 to 12, and the selected persons are currently undergoing training.
The Uganda Prisons Service is mandated to provide safe, secure, and humane custody of offenders while placing human rights at the centre of their correctional programmes.
