Magembe Sabbiiti, a journalist at Nation Media Group’s- NTV is dead.
The journalist as indicated by his associate, Herbert Kamoga was prior this morning of today engaged with an awful street mishap in Mubende region and was hurried to Mubende clinic where he inhaled his last.
“Its a dismal morning our associate and our journalist at NTV Uganda in Mubende district, Magembe Sabbiiti has been engaged with a dreadful mishap today and has passed on while at Mubende medical clinic where he had been scrambled for treatment.” Kamoga said in a Facebook post.
NTV also confirmed to the reports of the death of their reporter but did not divulge into details of the accident.
“SAD NEWS: With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the death of Sabbiiti Magembe who has been our correspondent in Mubende district. He died in Mubende hospital where he was rushed after he was knocked by a taxi this morning.
May his soul rest in peace!” NTV tweeted.
Ssebuliba who had worked with the late for over 10 years, described Magembe as a jolly, hardworking and respectful journalist.
“We started out together writing stories for radio then progressed to television. Just last weekend, he posted a picture of the girl he had hoped to marry in future,” he said.
Burial details are yet to be communicated.
