Man Known as Isma Byamugisha has been arrested for impersonating as Col Nakalema employee
Isma Byamugisha is currently detained by the operatives from State House Anti-Corruption.
He was arrested in Wakiso on Wednesday after posing as the unit employee during the ministry of lands gathering.
His arrest followed an outcry from the public pinning him for defrauding them saying he works for the unit.
He was taken to Wakiso police station, where he was picked on Thursday by detectives from the Anti-Corruption Unit for interrogations and making a statement over the allegations.
However, in his statement at the unit’s offices in Kampala Byamugisha denied impersonating a State House employee saying he has never admired to be one.
He awaits being arraigned before court after making his statement.
Since its inception in 2018, many people have been arrested and charged for impersonating the Unit’s employees.
