Hoima Regional Referral Hospital is under investigation for allegedly chasing people who tested Positive for COVID-19.
According to reports, the hospital management allegedly sent away up to 20 people who tested positive for the virus at the health facility last Tuesday and declined to provide any medicine or guidance to them as far as the disease handling is concerned, especially on self protection for those under home-based care.
Hoima Resident City Commissioner, Samuel Kisembo says they have summoned the Hospital Director to justify the reasons for the action.
Kisembo says they have instructed the COVID-19 surveillance team to track all patients who were chased from the hospital and their contacts for appropriate medical attention.
