Ugandan artists Ray G and Azawi have successfully reconciled, thanks to the intervention of Eddy Kenzo, the President of the Uganda Musicians Federation. The dispute between Ray G and Azawi initially arose over a performance order at an event in Mbarara, leading to tension between the two musicians.
Recognizing the need for resolution, Eddy Kenzo stepped in and took on the role of peacemaker. Kenzo, with his influence within the music industry and adept mediation skills, conducted a thorough investigation into the matter. He communicated with both Ray G and Azawi, urging them to set aside their differences and find common ground.
Kenzo’s intervention played a crucial role in bringing about an amicable solution to the dispute. The successful reconciliation occurred as Ray G and Azawi met face-to-face, putting an end to their misunderstandings in a friendly manner.
During an interview with Sanyuka TV, Ray G expressed his gratitude towards Eddy Kenzo for his instrumental role in bringing about peace. Ray G clarified that his disagreement was not with Azawi personally but rather with the flaws within the music industry’s system.
Ray G highlighted the importance of better protocols for event organization and artist management to avoid such disputes in the future. Despite his frustrations, he acknowledged that Azawi was not to blame for the situation. However, Ray G did critique Azawi’s social media handler for mishandling the situation by issuing an unnecessary statement, which he believed further escalated tensions between the two artists.
