Fred Lumbuye who disappeared two weeks ago, yesterday Nkunyinji Muwada confirmed that “Lumbuye not in Turkey.”

NUP’S shadow Minister and Kyadondo East MP Hon Muwada Nkunyinji has said, he is worried that their activist Fred Lumbuye Kajjubi might have been sneaked out of Turkey. He said this through his social media platforms.

According to Muwada, he is in Turkey but they have visited several prisons in Turkey and Lumbuye is still not found.

“13/08/2021: As we continue to make Legal input within Turkey and Upscale search efforts to establish detention centre if any. We are today visiting several Turkish Prisons and detention Centres in further search for LUMBUYE.”

However, Hon Nkuyingi said if they don’t find Lumbuye in Turkey they will base on the statement of Okello Oryem the Minister of Foreign affairs who said Lumbuye was to be deported to Uganda last Saturday.

“We equally remain alive to the fact that Uganda Government through Foreign Affairs Minister of State, Oryemu Okello, earlier claimed knowledge of Lumbuye’s warebouts and his paraded deportation.”

Hon Nkunyingi said NUP’S legal team in Uganda led by WAMELI & COMPANY ADVOCATES is going to file in an application to court so that Lumbuye is produced as the law requires.

“Today I’m aware the standby legal team in Uganda of WAMELI & COMPANY ADVOCATES will file in Uganda Courts a Habeas Corpus Application against Government of Uganda & Uganda Security Agencies to Produce LUMBUYE as required by law.”

The search also confirmed that no Ugandan citizen was in the prison for a very long time.

Also It should be noted that Uganda Police came out and said they don’t have Lumbuye in their custody.
