MPIGI – Ssalongo Jjuuko slaughtered his wife Nasimbwa Prossy, 30, on the eve of Eid al-Adha after demanding her money from charcoal sales and he refused. Both have been living together at Mpambire Village in Mpigi Town Council.
It is believed that at around 11:00PM Monday 19th July, 2021, the couple had domestic issues over money from charcoal sales, Jjuuko cut Nasimbwa badly. This caused her to over bleed leading to death.
In the morning a neighbor found Nasimbwa (deceased) was lying in a pool of blood. He later reported to Police.
Mpambire Village LC. I chairman Walakira Francis told Kaaro Karungi News that the couple had unsolved family issues which resulted into domestic violence.
Immediately the Police visited the scene, examined and documented it. Police Forms 48A & B were filled and the body was taken to Gombe hospital for postmortem.
The key suspect Mr Jjuuko took off, as Katonga region Police started investigations over the murder case reported on CRB/2021
