
France’s attacker Olivier Giroud has completed his move to Italian side AC Milan, the clubs announced on Saturday.
The 2018 World Cup winner underwent and passed medical on Friday before signing a contract with a Serie A outfit which will play in Champion League next season after seven years of absence.

After extending a one year contract with Chelsea last month, Giroud preferred to switch to AC Milan after failing out of favour under Thomas Tuchel with Eight premier League starts last season.

At Chelsea, he won FA cup, Europa League and Champion League.
Giroud, 34, is expected to backup Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 39, who is still grappling with a knee injury and remains uncertain for the start of the coming campaign.
Giroud won Ligue 1 with Montpelier in 2012 before joining Arsenal and later Chelsea in 2018.
With Arsenal, he netted 105 times in 253 appearances winning 3 FA cups and 3 Community Shields.
In 119 games in Chelsea Jersey, he scored 53 goals triumphing FA cup and Europa League in 2019 and Champions League last season.
Giroud moves to Italy targeting more playing time heading towards 2022 world cup in Qatar.
He will wear Jersey number 9 at AC Milan.
