National – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission has announced 6th Tuesday May 2025 as the date for conducting village structure elections and choosing LC1 Chairperson party flag bearers at village level across the country.
This is was confirmed by the NRM party general Secretary Mr Richard Todwong who was represented by Ms Jacqueline Kyatuhaire, the party Deputy National Treasurer confirmed that zonal supervisors and district party registrars have been dispatched to the village level to facilitate the electoral process.
Ms Kyatuhaire called for free and fair elections saying that the exercise will be conducted in accordance with the established rules and regulations governing NRM party.
The campaigns for these positions started on Thursday, April 1st, 2025, following the expression of interest and nomination exercise in the 72,000 NRM polling stations across the country “Ms Kyatuhaire said.
Ms Kyatuhaire added that the elections aim at electing NRM party flag bearers for the village structure and LC1 Chairperson positions.
