Nebbi- The Bishop of Nebbi Catholic diocese in Nebbi district Rt. Rev. Constantine Rupiny has suspended 2 Catholic priests over allegations of misconduct.
During his first ordination ceremony, Bishop Rupiny announced the suspension of the 2 Catholic church leaders.

The suspended priests are Rev. Fr. Salvatore Adraba and Rev. Fr. George Angala, have been relieved of all priestly duties pending a full investigation.
” This disciplinary action was necessitated by allegations of misconduct inconsistent with the values and discipline of the Catholic Church.” Bishop Rupiny said.
The Bishop did not explain much on the specific nature of the misconduct, the bishop confirmed that the allegations were serious enough to warrant immediate suspension under Canon Law.
” The suspension means the priests are barred from celebrating Mass, administering sacraments, wearing clerical attire, and performing any public or private priestly functions, both within and outside the diocese” .He added.
Bishop Rupiny noted that the Church must maintain its integrity and uphold its moral standards, especially among those who are entrusted with guiding the spiritual lives of others.
This action comes amid broader concerns over discipline and accountability within the clergy. In his address to the congregation,
Bishop Rupiny reminded the newly ordained priests of their sacred responsibility.
He urged them to remain obedient to Church authority, reject any form of corruption, and avoid conduct that brings disrepute to the priesthood.
The priesthood is not a platform for privilege, but a mission of service and sacrifice,” he stated.
The bishop’s message was echoed by Fr. Emmanuel Ocokuru, the pastoral coordinator of the diocese, who highlighted the role of spiritual formation and strong moral upbringing in sustaining the vocation of priesthood.
