

Luwero, Uganda– President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has congratulated parliament on passing of the UPDF amendment bill 2025 to try armed civilian murderers in the General Court Martial .
In a meeting with leaders from the entire greater Luwero at Timnah Nursery and Primary School in Mabaale Village Luwero Town in luwero district, President Museveni thanked MPs who supported the amendment saying that they saved the country from doom of shielding armed civilians and soldiers who commit murder from apprehension

He also advised the anti-amendment forces to leave issues of the army to the rightful authorities and tasked them to apologize for the grave mistake they attempted to lure the country into that would potentially lead to chaos

The president added that civilians who kill using guns will this time be ruined in to martial courts.
The president is apparently in greater Luwero district where he is assessing the performance of government programs aiming at chasing poverty at household levels.
