Rukungiri – The Rujumbura county member of Parliament who doubles as the minister of Security Rtd Maj Gen Jim K Muhwezi has rallied Ugandans to vote NRM government because of its good manifesto.
” Our Manifesto is people centered and it is aiming at addressing problems affecting the well being of Ugandans. It is from this background that am requesting all Ugandans irrespective of your political parties, tribe color to kindly vote the NRM government in the coming 2026 general elections “. Minister Muhwezi said during the closure of a one day patriotism training for local leaders of Nyakagyeme and Buhunga sub- counties all in Rujumbura county Rukungiri district.
Minister Muhwezi who also the Rukungiri district NRM party chair person noted the NRM party manifesto focuses on the well being of all Ugandans.
” The NRM government under the leadership of president Museveni is the only government that is giving people free money to it’s people to help them in improving their levels of income. This is a clear that tells how developmental is NRM government “. Minister Muhwezi added.
He also rallied Rujumbura people to rally behind him as he is seeking his last term to represent the people of Rujumbura in Uganda ‘s Parliament.
“My last term of office focus on extending water and electricity to all villages in Rujumbura so kindly vote me ” Minister Muhwezi added.
The commissioner of RDC’s for Kigezi and Ankole region Col. James Mwesigye warned local council one (LC1) chairpersons across Uganda against misusing their offices asking them to ensure proper usage of stamps for the benefit of people they lead.
The Rukungiri district police Commander SSP. Brian Ampire, the Rukungiri District Police Commander (DPC) urged leaders to cooperate with police in fighting crimes in their areas.
He also urged people to embrace government programs if they are to fight poverty and improve their livelihoods.
The training was also attended by Mr Elly Muhwezi of Bushenyi district , Rukungiri RDC Mr Bron Kikanshemeza, Bushenyi RDC Mr Emmy Ngabirano RDC OC CID Rukungiri Central police station SP. Kamugisha Onesimus among others.
