Massive Corruption at Igara Tea factory

Six employees of Igara growers Tea factory Limited have been suspended by the board notice written on 3rd August 2021 over massive corruption and embezzlement of in specified amount of money.
The suspended include Finance Manager, Brand Unit manager, Factory manager, Production manager, General Manager, and Factory engineer.  Its alleged that the six together with others engaged in syndicate corruption that resulted into loss of millions of money.
The syndicate corruption includes, fictious procurements, over pricing, illegal allowances, embezzlement of ready made tea making others and Further preliminary investigations indicate that up to 2 billion shillings could have been lost in this syndicate corruption.

A reports authored by the internal Auditor Robert Mugabe, a number of fictious procurements were discovered involving millions of money.

The matter was brought to the attention of the board which has now taken action

When contacted for a comment, Adrine Kobusingye, the Chairperson Board of Directors, told Kaaro Krungi News  that the board has commenced on investigations threatening that those involved in the acts will be dealth with accordingly.
