KAMPALA – A man in Kasanvu zone of Namuwongo in Makindye Division a Kampala city suburb has died due to suspected hunger.
According to the area chairperson Richard Biresho, Kanyamunyu breathed out his last, on Monday evening at around 7:00pm at his office, where he had camped asking for food support saying that he was starving in the house.
Local authorities only identify the deceased as Kanyamunyu, a resident of the area and porter on Fifth Street in the Industrial area in Bugolobi.
Richard Biresho, the area Chairperson, says Kanyamunyu breathed his last at his office yesterday evening where he had pitched camp asking for food relief on grounds that he was starving.
Biresho says that the deceased looked frail, weak and emaciated an indication that he could have gone days without food.
