The Kazinga Channel ferry has experienced another technical glitch in less than a month.

Consequently, the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) on Thursday (16 September) announced that the ferry will be temporarily closed to undertake repairs.

The ferry was previously closed on August 24, 2021.

“UNRA informs the general public and users of the temporary ferry at Katunguru (Kazinga Channel) along Hima-Katunguru-Ishaka road that the ferry has experienced a technical glitch, and operations will be stopped for four days from September 15 to 18,” a notice from the roads authority read.

A technical team is currently executing the required interventions to enable ferry operations to resume on the scheduled date.
