KACITA chairman, Everest Kayondo succumbs to Covid

Kampala City Traders Association (Kacita) executive, Everest Kayondo has died

Kayondo died this Wednesday evening at Lifeline International in Zana, Kampala where he had been conceded with Covid-19 side effects on saturday, as indicated by KACITA CEO, Abel Mwesigye.

Reports indicate that Mr Kayondo, who also served as the head of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators succumbed to Covid19.

Abel Mwesigye says Kayondo died at Lifeline International in Zana, where he had been conceded with Covid-19 since last week.

Everisto Kayondo was a renowned businessman and advocate for the rights of city traders.

He was also an investor in the tourism sector.

Covid-19 has continued to the lives of Ugandans with the death toll now standing at over 714, while the number of infections stands at over 73,400 with slightly over 50,000 recoveries.
