ISINGIRO – Police in Isingiro is holding one of their own for shooting a civilian dead.
SPC Kakooza Aloysius 39, attached to Ngarama Police station in Isingiro District, suspect himself Made a report after shooting at Atwebembere Anold, a resident of Kiguli village, Ngarama Parish, Ngarama Subcounty in Isingiro District.
Kakooza Aloysius allegedly responded to an incident of threatening violence that had been reported at Ngarama Police station by the deceased’s brother, a one Mujuni Lauben 30, a resident of the same area.

In a move to apprehend, the deceased tried to attack the officer with two pangas, prompting Kakooza to release the bullet.
The deceased ran away, but with gunshot injuries which made him collapse, and breathed his last as he was being rushed by a good Samaritan to the hospital.
The district CID officer, D/Asp Mbabazi Zakaria and Crew booked out to the scene and apprehended Kakooza to help in investigations, as the body of the deceased has been taken to Mbarara referral hospital for postmortem to establish the cause of Death.
