Fire Destroys Property in Kisenyi 2, Leaves Many Homeless.

Kampala – Property worth millions of money has been destroyed by fire in Kisenyi Zone 2, Kampala, leaving residents homeless.

The fire outbreak reportedly started at around 7am of today August 2025, consumed property worth millions of shillings.

Residents were seen trying attempting to salvage belongings while others wept helplessly as their homes was being burnt into ashes.

“We have lost everything. We don’t know where to start from. Our businesses and belongings are all gone,” residents said.

The Police Fire and Rescue Services responded promptly, battling the flames and preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures.

The fire victims asked the authorities to find a permanent solution because every year we lose property to fires in this area.

The Kampala Central Mayor Mr Salim Uhuru called for calmness saying that his office is going to work hand in hand with city leaders to resettle affected families and improve safety in the area.

Mr Nsubuga Ham, the activity overseer in Kisenyi, described the fire as devastating, calling it a “war-like scene.

The cause of the fire outbreak was not yet identified but investigations continue.
