Bushenyi district has registered 121 positive COVID-19 cases.
Speaking to district taskforce this evening Dr Edward Mwesigye the district health officer noted that 7 of them were admitted to different health facilities and the rest are managed in their homes.
Mwesigye however notes a challenge of lack of protective gears for health workers which has put their lives on risk.
Bushenyi Resident District Commissioner, Jane Asiimwe Muhindo, who doubles as the COVID-19 task force chairperson revealed that there is a need for health department headed by the District Health Officer to always breakdown the numbers into region or sub counties which will create more awareness to the communities.
Jafari Bassajabalaba, the district chairman said the break down of the numbers will create fear and stop unnecessary movement of people which is so rampant in most of the communities.
