Amolatar District receives one boat Ambulance

Amolatar district has recieved one boat ambulance from the Ministry of Health to help in the transportation of Patients in inaccessible places to Referral Hospitals.
This revelation was made by the Minister of Health Dr. Jane Aceng Ocero as she addressed parliament last evening on issues surrounding the Health the ministry and the state of Health in the Country.
Dr. Aceng said the ministry has procured 11 boat ambulances and 3 ambulances have so far been delivered of which one has been allocated to Amolatar district.
When asked about the where abouts of the remaining 8 ambulances, she revealed that they were facing delays in shipping but they would be delivered soon.
The minister’s statement follows an outcry by Amolatar district Woman Member of Parliament, Dr Agnes Atim Apea who revealed that people in her district are facing a challenge of transporting patients to refferal hospital since most areas have been cut off by floods.
