The Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries Minister, Frank Tumwebaze, has promised to activate policies that will help Soroti Fruit Factory reach its full potential.
While touring the Soroti based factory renowned for making organic Teju orange and mango juice, yesterday, Minister Tumwebaze said the ministry is ready to help, however, it will require require the involvement of other Ministries to handle issues to do with taxes.

The Minister’s pledge was in reaction to complaints by the Chief Executive Officer of Soroti Fruit Factory, Douglas Kakyukyu Ndawula, who said that while they could have earned more revenue from selling fruit concentrates, soft drink companies are opting to import.
Tumwebaze however, asked Ndawula for assurance that they had built enough capacity to feed the local demand.
