Rukungiri:
The former FDC and the 4 time presidential candidate Dr.Kizza Besigye has warned the FDc party members from Rukungiri district against being selfish saying that selfish motives of some party members affected the party performance in the last year’s general elections.

While addressing FDC eaders and members at Palm loyale hotel in Rukungir yesterday , Dr Besigyen said that the party preformed poorly in the last year’s general elections simply because of cheap selfish motives of some members
His other biggest concern was about the party structure. He said the party needs to do a leadership restructuring.
He laughed at Ugandans who think that elections can bring change to them saying that they better organise themselves to stand up for change
FDC and cannot do it alone, all Ugandans should to work beyond the FDC” he stressed.
He gave an example of UPC members who are working with FDC because they have no party at the moment. Their party is affiliated to NRM.
“like UPC, Mr.Museveni is also about to take the FDC party but assured them that it’s (FDC) supporters will remain standing” Dr.Besigye said.
“Usually it was NRM that used to bring money but now the money is coming from within FDC.
Does anyone need to use rocket science to know where this money is coming from”? he asked.
^NRM is no longer bringing the money themselves so they use our own pple in FDC to bring it for them” he added.
Dr. Besigye said all this in the presence of Party President Oboi Patrick Amuriat and Secretary Gen. Nandala Mafaabi without revealing which leaders have been delivering Museveni’s money to the party.
“During the last elections, Rukungiri fdc party primaries were flooded with money a matter that sharply devided the party members to the extent of some candidates contesting as independent candidates” Dr.Besigye.
Also, after 2021 elections, the Observer News paper and other tabloids wrote stories how FDC National leaders fetched billions of money from state house which they used to buy elections on behalf of National resistance movement.
