Masaka High Court to hear bail application for the embattled members of Parliament Allan Ssewanyana of Makindye west and Ssegirinya Muhammad of Kawempe North, who are on remand in Kigo prison.

This is the second time the remanded law makers are seeking to be released on bail.

The two National Unity Platform legislators, are facing a number of charges that arose out of their alleged involvement in the spate of murders that saw close to 30 people dead in greater Masaka, in the month of August and September this year.

The bail hearing application will be presided over by Justice Victoria Nakintu katamba, the one who was behind the first bail application.

The same court had on 20th September granted bail to the MPs, but security forces re arrested them immediately as they walked out of Kigo prison on separate dates.

The state charged them with other charges that include murder and they have since reapplied to be released on bail.
