Police in Kabale has arrested a prime suspect in the murder of one Moses Akampurira who was murdered on August 1, 2021 in Kabale district.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson on Tuesday revealed that the suspect identified as Emmanuel Arinitwe was arrested following a tip off from residents.
Arinitwe also known as Babu, escaped from police while his other accomplice only known as Kakofira was shot in the fracas and died instantly.
Akampurira was stabbed to death at around T & J pub at the beginning of last month.
“Arinitwe, 28 has been on run but we are glad that we finally got him,” Maate said, adding that he was picked from his hiding place at 6am on Tuesday.
Arinitwe will be produced in court to answer charges accordingly.
