The prosecution is Tuesday expected to reply on the bail application of National Unity Platform’S (NUP) Councilor James Mubiru, who is before the General Court Martial (GCM) at Makindye in Kampala.
Mubiru was arrested on March 12, 2021 from Kasubi and charged with wearing a red beret, nearly resembling one authorised for use by the members of the Defense Forces as to likely deceive the public.
The councillor-elect for Rubaga North has been on remand in Makindye Military Police Barracks since March last year.

Mubiru applied for bail before the GCM chaired by Lt. Gen Andrew Gutti, saying it was his right to apply for the same and the offence he allegedly committed is bailable.
