Police in Rukungiri is hunting for a 40-year-old man for allegedly hacking his 36-year-old brother to death.
Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police spokesman says Mpora Benon 40 used a machete to cut his brother Nuwagaba Robert 36 to death.
Both men are residents of, Katenga Cell, Nyibingo Parish, Kebisoni Sub in Rukungiri district,
Matte says the incident occurred yesterday the 22/08/2021 at around 9:00 PM.
The two brothers were coming from Nyibingo trading center heading back home, and while on the way they developed a quarrel where by the deceased kicked his brother to the ground.
Maate narrates that the brother who was kicked sprang up, grabbed the deceased pinned him on the ground and used a new Panga he had just bought from the trading centre for his causal work, to cut his victim.
The deceased started bleeding furiously and made an alarm which attracted one Kyomukama Catherine 40 years, of the same area who separated them she was later joined by other people.
They tried to rush the deceased to Damson’s Clinic in Kebisoni trading center for First Aid where he was pronounced dead before was attended to.
A case of Murder was reported at Kebisoni Police Station by Baguma Justus 27 yrs, a mechanic, resident of the above cell at around midnight
Scene was visited, Police who transported the body to Rwakabengo Health Center 3 for postmortem.
Maate says inquiries at hand as the hunt for the suspect is on since he is on the run.
