A suspected thief was shot and injured in Gulu while trying to steal from a packed car.
The suspect has been identified as Mathew Odong, who was caught attempting to steal property from a parked vehicle at green park hostel in Pece-Laroo division
The suspect was shot by a security guard identified as Patrick Kidega who is attached to Exposs Security ground.
The Incident happened on Thursday at 9:30 pm.
Odong was reportedly shot in the buttocks and was later rushed to Gulu regional referral hospital where he is currently receiving treatment
David Ongom Mudong the Aswa regional Police spokesperson says Police visited the scene of crime and recorded a statement from the Security guard.
Mudong added the Suspect will be arraign in Court after his file has been sanctioned by the Director of Public Prosecution.
