A wrangle between Abim District political leaders and the Resident District Commissioner, Juliet Ssenkole Najuma has paralysed government programs in the district.
This has prompted the LC V Chairperson, Rtd. Captain Yuventine O’Mara Adyeda to write a protest letter to the office of the president demanding the immediate transfer of the RDC for allegedly creating confusion and frustrating government programs in the district.

In his letter dated July 19th, addressed to the Minister in Charge of the presidency, Adyeba claims that Najuma has been using his daughter to sign allowances as her escort yet she is a civilian and not attached to any security forces.
He also accuses Najuma of undermining the political leadership in Abim district.

Adyeba confirmed writing the letter saying the RDC has frustrated a lot of developmental projects in the district and should be transferred elsewhere.
Najuma declined to comment on the matter when contact and demanded to know who told our reporter about the letter.
Grace Awilli, one of the anticorruption monitors said the behaviour of the RDC will undermine the importance of the RDC’s office in the district.
