Isingiro District is set to receive over Ugx 500m from the government of Uganda to help in the fight against Covid19 in the district.
The RDC and the chairman of the covid19 task force Herbert Muhangi noted that this money has rules and regulations from the government and the ministry of health on how it should be disbursed.
According to Muhangi, the money will go to all local government committees in place to fight covid19 including Village Health Teams – VHTs.
Uganda is battling the second wave of Covid-19 which has claimed 2557 people and infected 92,490 people since last year.
