KAARO KARUNGI | KAZO DISTRICT – Kazo District COVID-19 task force has reported nine COVID-19 cases, and three deaths since the outbreak of the COVID-19 second wave.
According to Kazo District Health Educator, Scovia Fokushaba, 142 samples were taken for COVID-19 testing, then 72 of them have already released the results, which show nine cases, three deaths and one recovery.
Fokushaba, however, says the death cases were tested from somewhere else much as they are among Kazo district residents.

Kazo District Resident Commissioner, Ruth Sabiiti Kashaka urges the residents to make more adherence to the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Kashaka advised people whose relatives die of COVID-19 not to make caskets stay in the houses before burial, instead they should let them remain in the health facilities and immediately bury them after reaching the burial grounds.
Kazo District Chairperson, Rev. Samuel Mugisha Katugunda reveals that the law is also prepared to confront those who flout the COVID-19 guidelines.
Kazo District Police Commnander, ASP Hadali Kosayi insists that as police, they are ready to arrest whoever flouts the guidelines.
