Bishop Prof. Alfred Olwa, the ASUL Vice Chancellor, asked the graduating students to represent the university well and promote its values and positive attitude as they go back to their communities. He also mentioned that ASUL is waiting to receive the remaining balance of 80 million shillings that was pledged by H.E. the president, as they have already received 80 million out of the 160 million shillings that were pledged by H.E. General Yoweri Museveni Kaguta recently to the university.
During the 9th graduation ceremony at ASUL, General Salim Saleh pledged and fulfilled his promise of two tractors that were handed over to the university management in 2022 by Hon. Minister for Health Dr. Ruth Jane Aceng Ocero, who doubles as the Woman MP for Lira City. Bishop Olwa expressed his gratitude to the general and the minister for their support.

The guest of honor, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, was unable to attend the graduation ceremony in person due to urgent national duty. The ASUL academic registrar, Mr. Tom Okabo Kabos, several deans, media fraternity, Deputy Mayor Lira for Lira city, Alwedo Ogole, and the 362 graduates and their parents were in attendance.
Acen Robinah, a 24-year-old who received a certificate in early childhood development, said she is aiming higher to obtain better qualifications in the future at the university. Ekul Rebecca Conny, from Barapwo, city west division, Lira city, expressed her happiness when her sister Acen Robinah graduated and expected her to continue to the next level and complete all the levels up to a degree.
