Rwampara – Police in Rwampara is investigating circumstances under which a 68 year-old man was murdered.
Aloysius Bitakamanyirwe 68, a resident of Buterere cell, Kibingo Ward, Rweibogo – Kibingo Town Council in Rwampara District was murdered yesterday at his home by unknown machete welding assailants after he had been woken up by a noise from his pig outside.
The Rwizi region police spokesperson, Samson Kasasira says the assailant cut Bitakamanyirwe’s neck immediately after reaching out of the doorway, killing him instantly.
Two suspects were arrested to help police in investigations, however, efforts are underway to have more suspects apprehended for interrogation.
